Best male vocal

I love Irony is a Dead Scene because I love Patton's singing and aggressive music. However overall I don't consider myself a DEP fan. I have Calculating Infinity but never got into it, and Ire Works has its moments but doesn't do much for me either. Maybe it'll grow on me if I give it the chance.

Ryan Adams, Eric Clapton, Robert Plant, Bruce Springsteen, etc....

As long as anyone doesn't think Ronan Keating has the best voice, that is fine with me!!

That's a tough one...don't think I could name just one so here's a few

Iggy Pop
David Bowie
Tim Armstrong (Rancid)
George Pettit (Alexisonfire)
P Paul Fenech (The Meteors)

and there's probably more but I can't think of any at the moment

Yeah, I know people who instantly dig 'em, and then there are those of us who neeRAB to listen to the album more than once. I'm not too familiar with Calculating Infinity, but Ire Works is an album that has grown on me quite a bit. I, too, thought of it as you do. I used to like bits and pieces of the album, but recently I've come to realize how epic it truly is. I still have trouble getting into Greg Puciato's screams, though.

Well based on those comments I'll plan to listen to it again soon. I guess part of what sucks is that I wish Patton was their full-time singer. ;) Irony is a Dead Scene was such a tease.

Mike Patton has been my favourite for awhile now, he is one of the most versatile musicians out there and that can help you out so much.
