best Long Island College for High School History teacher?

Im looking to be a History teacher in high school and i currently reside on Long Island. im graduating from Nassau Community in May 2010 and i was wondering what would be the cheapest but well qualified college to transfer to on Long Island thats a really good college for teaching. any suggestions?
