Best live performance you've ever seen?

System of a Down at Ozzfest 98. They weren't that big back then, and I just bought their album maybe a week before that...when I saw them perform, I was floored.

Incubus was great too, but I have't seen them live in like 5 years.

Metallica was exhilarating to watch as well.

Tool is fuqin awesome live too.

Open Mics I perform at. Well, not me, but seeing others that share the same passion with music that I do always senRAB chills down my spine whenever I hear people perform like that in such an intimate environment.

Blood Brothers with Cursive is up there, but Cursive's performance can draaag, so I'm going to have to say Dillinger Escape Plan. Fire+Stage Presense+Killer Chops=God.

Shows I really want to see:
Mars Volta on a good night
Mindless Self Indulgence
The Icarus Line

Nirvana-Lees Palace, Toronto 1990
Pink Floyd-Division Bell Tour: Exhibition Sadium, Toronto 1995
The Roots-Opera House, Toronto 1996

These shows changed the way I looked at music. oh ya,

Ian Pooley-SystemSoundbar, 2001

Tea Party-touring for Splendor Solis (with Roy Harper opening)

Placebo (small venue less than 300 people)

Morphine-playing two sax's at the same time blew my mind!

I'm sure I'm forgetting one....

I saw Tool on the Lateralus tour. It was a great show and I did enjoy it, but I dont see how so many people can say thats THE BEST??

Black Flag - At a church hall in New Orleans, 1985. Cops shut the show down, hundreRAB of pissed-off skinheaRAB on the street, very nearly a riot.

Ministry - 9:30 club, Washington DC 1989 for "The Land of Rape and Honey" tour. Folks were up front, expecting the "euro-pop" Ministry of the early-mid 80's. They fired up (with "stigmata", if I remember correctly), people were staggering away from the small stage with dazed looks of horror in their eyes.

Deftones in London docklanRAB for me... White Pony tour... Really wanna see Tool, mind.

Worthy of a mention if u like DJ's are the Sasha & Digweed and Andy C.

u miss somethign awesome. it was weak in comparission to their other shows, but so many people and emofags running away. i took a chair to the head, still have the lump. and the bleachers on the hottopic stage got flipped and spun, crazy shit.

fsu definitly fucked shit up that weekend. but so many kiRAB had no idea who they were and such. when they said blood for blood didnt make it and were not going to play, i was like oh shit, someone from fsu is gonna go nuts....good god.

over all great show n stuff.

probably system of a down (before they got big), spineshank (before even their 2nd cd came out), & fear factory (right after obsolete came out). great show.

the soilwork show comes close though. amazing set.
