Best live performance you've ever seen?

If you cant limit yourself to one, than give 2. But not an entire list please.

Mine is a tie.

Les Claypool playing a nonstop, uninterupted 90 minute set of Sailing the Seas of Cheese.

and

Incubus. I have never seen a stage show like the one they put on. It was like I paid for two shows!

Oops, I forgot to post up...

Evergreen Terrace
Embrace Today
On Broken Wings
Calico System
Reaction
Another Way

I saw pretty much the same lineup a week later, but Reaction was replaced with Crematorium and On Broken Wings replaced by The Judas Cradle. 2nd show wasn't as good as the first one though. And Embrace Today was thoroughly disappointing.

Mindless Self Indulgence

They record every set and play every song from all of their albums.
Also where else could I get Little Jimmy Urine to sign my jacket that says Touch Me Daddy.

2nd greatest:
Eighties Matchbox Bline Disaster. Awesome band from england. Blew me away.

My personal best would be one of two:

Phish 12-7-1997 @ Dayton Ohio.

or

John Mclaughlin during his Remember Shakti tour in 1999ish.

1. Depeche Mode - Pasadena - 101 Tour (1988?)
2. U2 - Oakland - ZooTV Stadium Tour (1993?)
3. Erasure - San Francisco - Chorus Tour (1993?)
4. Pet Shop Boys - Tokyo - New York City Boy Tour (2001?)

JpnDude

defintly good shows....after seeing hellfest this weekend, they shadow in comparison.

misfits, great presence, and awesome with the fans, tons of people on stage.
dillenger, holy god, crazy light show.

but the best live show ever has to go to bad luck 13 riot extravaganza. Just imagine in your head the throwing of trash, smoke bombs, cherry bombs,m breathing fire. the insanity of the band pushed the crowd into a riot, complete and utter destruction. to the point where secruity gives up and the venue will cut their power. look around for them, they will have a dvd out soon as well with full live shows. the shear intensity and brutality that even has the fsu crew cringing, it is a sight to see, and be a part of.

Eminem's only North American tour stop last July....

It was friggin the best thing I've been lucky enough to be a part of. I was at the first Lollapalooza with Janes Addiction, NIN, da Banshees..etc. but that was nuttin compared to that D-Town weekend.

I have this pretty cool job in promos that allows us to travel quite often. My brother-in-law handles the MI area and coming from SO CAL we saw a window. With my senority I approached our VP with a slight smirk and conned him into a business trip to Detroit.

With that we had a corp paid plane trip straight to the heart of Motown, sure we were stuck in MI for a week working, but we got that Weekend. It broke every music attendace record in Detroit history. The show packed Ford Field and had the whole city buzzing, the whole thing kicked off with Missy Elliot popping outta giant boombox, spitting and having a good time. 50 Cent nearly stole the show with a set that made a believer out of me. Em was brought in Hummer coming out swinging singing everything. A giant 8 mile mobile park sign dropped from the ceiling as he rode the roof of the hummer to the center of field mid way through the set, singing Lose yourself with 90,000 hanRAB bouncing in unison.
