Anyone remember this film???

It starred Dolly Parton and Burt ReynolRAB?

My mum absolutely loved it and I can remember watching it when I was wee, great song by Dolly at the end....I can always remember listening to it and wondering why the hell my mum was greeting like a Christmas Card!!!

S'ok....wonder if it's out on DVD???

It's actually a pretty funny film and I dare say my mother may have been a bit ill-advised in letting us watch it as, as you can see from the title of the film it ain't about bunny rabbits!

It's a brilliant film. Dolly Parton is a favourite of mine and I loved her in that. i remember reading some interview with her onece and the interviewer making some sort of suggestion that Dolly must be fed up that Whitney Heuston made it a bigger hit, but Dolly replied something like
"Hell, darlin, I wrote it, I'm delighted she had a hit with it. Do you know who much I made in royalties?"
:D

This was a brilliant film and I liked all the songs, when I went to Universal Studios in Hollywood we saw the actual house, they call it a working set which means that it's not just a shell but a real house. So all the scenes in the brothel were actually filmed in the house and not a studio set.One of the best songs I thought was the one they sang when they were getting ready to leave the house,Hard Candy Christmas.

I used to love this film when I was a kid too! The songs are great-I love "Texas has a whorehouse in it" and "Hard candy christmas" :)

I think I'll track it down on dvd too for some happy memories of Dolly and Burt :)

I absolutely love this film, They should bring it back on stage as a musical, I loved Charles Durning singing and dancing the sidestep ..can you believe it he's almost 80 and still two films in production. My favourite scene and song was when they were all packing up to leave singing Hard Candy Christmas, I've not seen the film in years but still remember the song :)
