Per a friend/photographers advice I bought an 85mm 1.4f lens to go with my new Canon 40D. She said it would be good for portrait taking. I intend to shoot mostly family/children, seniors, weddings, and sports. I found that the 85mm is very touchy and not great with action shots.
I guess I just need some advice on what lenses I should try instead. I need to make this purchase fairly soon, I've got some outdoor family and senior photos coming up. Anyone have any good suggestions?
