Best lens for the sony a55?

Just bought a Sony A55. It's my first camera and I was wondering which lens I should buy - although I have the one which came with the kit. I'm really only interested in taking pics of my kiddos. Is the one I have ok or should I buy another. Not even sure where to start. Thanks
 
Get a lens with a very wide aperture. This will allow you to take shots indoors or at night without using a flash, while keeping the shutter speed reasonably fast and outdoors, you'll be able to freeze subjects in action shots. Look for the Sony f1.4 for the a mount. It's a fantastic lens.
