I'm getting ready to take online college courses with the academy of art. I'm looking not only for a MAC laptop, but also a windows... Which poses this (these) question(s): Which is the best kind, what are the needed add-ons, and should I even get a laptop or just get a personal desktop? I'm looking to have such programs as Adobe Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, Coral painter, and others.

Thank you!

the one with the screen you can lay down flat and write on with a pen they give you. its like a drawing pad, but its like a couple grand..

most employers use and require knowledge of windows. your purchase will be an investment so i would go with a laptop with a dual core processor and with a fast front side bud. something with lots of ram and a big hard drive. you may want to go with a laptop since it will be more convenient in the long run if you're going to do presentations and stuff. i would look into a tablet pc, but if you don't want to spend alot go with a traditional laptop.
