It variates from tracker to tracker (like everything else in the world variates). The bad seeded part is true on some well known 0day trackers, but that's not the case on a tracker I know. No seedingrules exist but yet members keeps seeding their files for months, and some members even for years.as far as i have experienced, ratioless usually comes with a rule like 'seed for 72 hours', with as a result that older torrents are bad seeded.
I may be wrong, and maybe it's perfect for some, but i haven't seen the advantages over a tracker with ratio
I like to see a tracker where members can earn bonus from downloading and not just seeding.
I like to see a tracker where members can earn bonus from downloading and not just seeding. Combine that with some form of h&r rules; it can increase the trackers' activities.
some tracker give out karma/bonus for downloading (along with uploading and seedling) if that's what you mean![]()
polish your arse, it's about to be kissed. :happy:yea its empty.. :shifty:
As would I. This was actually brought up on another track. Hopefully the staff took notice and will implement such a system. This would be a fresh new way to promote more leeching.
Why do you think so? A ratiofree tracker both helps and improves the activity on the site astonishingly (at least the one I'm on).
The Share Index system is unique to FSC, and was designed to help those that find it hard to seed back enough to maintain a healthy ratio. For each 24 hours of connectivity, members earn a ratio 0.10 for each active torrent. That means that even if no one leeches from a seeder, within 10 days of sharing he will have a ratio of at least 1.0 on that torrent! This special ratio is called a Share Ratio, and is basically a bonus, added to the traditional up/down file ratio.
The Share Ratio is added to the member's file ratio to create a combined ratio, which is called a Share Index. The Share Index is the defacto measure of sharing on the site. If you are partially successful in seeding some data back, the Share Ratio for that torrent will help to boost the file ratio. All this goes into the Share Index.
A tracker thats under dev is gonna implement something never ever seen before..and yeah, downloading activity is taken in account as well in the complex and kinda holistic algorithm being developed and tested..
ya all will get to know about it in good time.. :yup:
