Best Horror Movie Ever

What about the original "Alien"? Wasn't that billed as a horror movie?

If you want a good ghost story, check out "The Woman in Black". I think it is a british, made for TV, movie. But it has some great creepy moments. It always seems to get shown at christmas.

agree about *texas chainsaw massacre* - the bit at the end in broad daylight was just ridiculous :D

*the shining* has got to be up there.

and the bit right at the end of *carrie* gets me every time, even when I know its coming.

*blair witch project* - you had to get absorbed by it granted, but the final denouement was IMO truly chilling.

Sorry but I would rule out any of the Texas Chainsaw Massarces - sack of kack!

I didn't find it disturbing. I found it very annoying, its all screaming and shouting. I got very bored with them.

The best films are the ones that make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up like Sixth Sense.

Elm Street was entertaining, as were the Halloween films.

Evil Dead I can't serious. The Exorcist wasn't bad.
Return of the Living Dead is a classic. The Thing and The Omen were brilliant.
Vamp was typical 80's cheese, but enjoyable in a weird way.
Driller Killer - crap! The Ring was good, as was Day of the Dead.

I think my personal best and don't ask me why. Its just sick yet very funny and that was Re-Animator!

I - along with many others of taste - have been in love with The Beyond since the original Eagle release in the 1980s. Indeed, it was a higlight of my professional career when I interviewed Lucio Fulci and David Warbeck at David's house in north London a number of years ago [waves dick in face]. And my VHS of The Beyond with both their personal messages enscribed on the inside of the cover jacket is a treasured possession. Accuse me of copying? Bah! Who are *you*?

Richard.
