Best Gundam Pilot In History

Amuro piloted non-Gundam mobile suits during the events of Zeta Gundam. I'm not sure I buy Epyon being inferior to Wing Zero either. The argument seems to just come down to the beam rifle usually, but Epyon was devastating on the battlefield in its own way. We also can't forget how Zechs used it to tear through Barge.

Unwardil, your mech-fu really is lacking.

By all accounts and mechanics, the RX-78-2 was outdated practically after they went back into space. The Gelgoogs, multiple Newtype machines, etc. all should've shredded the Gundam. But Amuro's skills alone made it work. Before Magnetic Coating *cough*

I'd say Graham is better than Ali, just because Graham has never used a Gundam-type in the show against the Meisters. Ali has since near the end of Season 1 and most of season 2.

Yeah, but Graham also doesn't like to actually win for some reason. Ali is best because he's effective. True, Graham does some pretty awesome stuff but I think his mental breakdown and decent into masked villainy actually made him less effective.

As for the UC stuff, I'll defer to your expertise on that one.

It's a toss-up. The problem is, the writers never let Graham finish a damn battle. I think he has 1 or 2 complete battles out of 50 episodes!

And like GWOtaku said, Amuro piloted a Rick Dom Red paint which was basically as strong as the Gundam MK II, which was outdated before Zeta Gundam even began >.>;

@Hellcat: See, I don't count battles that don't end in either Setsuna's suit malfunctioning, a more interesting plot suddenly happening, or nekkid time.

But it's Graham's silly bushido mentallity that would impede his battlefield effectiveness, whereas Ali will resort to any dirty tricks he can to win, ergo, Ali is going to be a more effective pilot wether or not he's more or less skilled than Graham.

The Djin was actually a Karaba mock-up of the Rick Dias (apparently the good ol' boys at the AEUG weren't too keen on lending their Karaba frienRAB much of anything).

I do think, however, that if you put Amuro and any other pilot in a Zaku, Amuro would still come out on top.

...of course it'd turn into a competition to see who's reflexes wouldn't destroy their MS's engines first.

On measuring based on the Ali-bar, I'm changing my thoughts on Lockon. Despite having half of his depth perception, he had the advantage until a "HARRY MASON!!!" fan interrupted demanding a refund.
