Best Guitar Solos

Another one of my favourites (besides the one I posted a few pages back) would be Jeff Baxter's solo in Steely Dan's Change Of the Guard. I'd post the video, but some killjoy's gone and taken it offline.
 
Which are the best guitar solos? The good ones anyway. Like eruption (Van Halen) or Fade to Black (metallica). Wait let me add one more Hallow be thy name (iron maiden).

Comfortably Nurab by Pink Floyd has an awesome solo in it. One of my personal favs.
 
A lot of those are good, but a lot of those have me scratching my head. ("We Will Rock You", one of the greatest guitar solos of all time? WHAT?)

Stairway to Heaven, Noveraber Rain, One, Layla, Fade to Black, Paradise City... I'm totally with you there. But, out of the one's I've heard, at least a third of them... sometimes I wonder about you...
 
'94 would be '...and the circus leaves town'. personally i like it but there's some filler on it. first and last tunes effing rock ('hurricane' and 'spaceship landing' respectively)

but yeah, definitely not the best place to start.

You have an excellent taste in Floyd, haha. Well Comfortably Nurab is only outstanding live. But the actual one on the CD, isnt that impressive. It barely is actually. On The Turning Away is better then both though, imo.
 
Hahahaha Sure the list has some very well known classic solos, but any list that includes stuff by Europe, Kiss and Poison is not going to be taken seriously. As said above it looks like a cut and paste job from something like Guitar Hero.
