Best Gangsta Film

I'm stuck between Goodfellas and Casino. Both are very long but absolutely brilliant films. I just with they's re-issue Goodfellas on a dual-layer dvd as all the discs I've seen in stores in Doncaster are still 'flippers'

road to perdition was pretty good though i thought
all i remmber of the godfather is james caan at the toll booth ;)

I would have to say Goodfellas!!! such a damn fine movie!!!

And Joe Peschi still amazes me as to how he can be so scary and nasty in one film then go and be a hilarious nutter in another??!!!! he hs to be one of the best actors around!!!
 
Got to agree with most of the other posts on here - Goodfellas and Casino are my fav gangsta films. Goodfellas just edges for me but both of them are brilliant!
 
So many to choose from, I have the godfather trilogy waiting to be watched, but finding the time to watch them is going to be difficult. I have seen most of the others mentioned, and I have to say I enjoyed Goodfellas immensley, also scarface, especially the last scene when he just fails to die :D I like some of the modern films that have gangster elements to them, like pulp fiction, and resevoir dogs... I hope godfather trilogy is as good as I have heard it is :p
 
for some reason i always consider scarface more of a "gangsta" film than goodfellas.
maybe because its more violent,i love them both and the godfather films,AND casino (which i think is v underrated)
