Best beginner fish in a 10 gallon tank, fish that can be kept together in a 10 gallon and are cheap and VERY EASY to care for or 'hardy' fish! I need to know ASAP!

We started off with a crew of six White Cloud Mountain Minnows which lasted for yonks and were pretty fun. We've also had clown loaches (Botia Macrocantha), who are great fun once they get used to their new abode and stop playing dead (make sure you read up or seek advice if you get these because they have quite strange behaviour which can freak out unsuspecting humans.) Also, I think platys are quite hardy.

Your best option is to discuss it with the staff at the shop where you intend to buy the fish. They will be experts, and they'll also know about local water conditions (hard/soft), not to mention which suitable fish they happen to have in stock!

guppies
neons
sword tails
mollies
glowlight
black neon tetra
these are just a few and they are cheap.

I would get some neon tetras as they are pretty, easy to keep and you can usually buy about 10 for a fiver so it gives you a good head start. I would also recommend you get a pleco (sucker fish) He will keep your tank nice and clean and what he cleans off your tank is his food (algae) Good luck!

for a 10 gallon tank. Be sure that the tank is CYCLED FIRST!!!!!!! if you dont know what that is then send me a message and I will explain. Easy fish that get along well and are hardy would be guppys, platys, danios, a betta (MAYBE) ghost shirmp, cherry shrimp, maybe cherry barbs, neon tetras, apple snail, Rule of thumb is 1 inch per gallon. If you have any more questions, feel free to send me a message

If you have a heater and even if you don't get some white cloud mountain minnows. They stay small and are VERY hardy. They can survive without a heater or with one just fine. Get a group of 6 of them. They are usually really cheap like about a dollar each. About as cheap as your gonna find. You can also go with zebra danios but they are only if you have a heater and will get a little bit bigger. A school of 5 would be great for them as well. Good Luck
