My favourite films of the 2004 were

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Shrek 2
Collateral
Spiderman 2

(and even though it came out december 2003, it's pretty much a film of 2004:
Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
)

The imdb says Matt Damon, Leo DiCraprio, Mark Wahlberg and Jack Nicholson. God knows what role Jack Nicholson will play, I can't imagine him as a gang boss.

I don't really rate Matt Damon as an actor, although I did enjoy his cameo in Will and Grace and I think Good Will Hunting is a stunning film too (odd considering I'm the opposite of a Ben Affleck or Minnie Driver fan). What else has Matt Damon been in? Ocean's 11 I do not count - wooden as f***!

I thought he was great in Good Will Hunting!! one of his best performances ive seen..
Yeah i liked him in Will + Grace too..
For some reason, i really like his teeth, lol..
anyway, other films..
~ the Talented Mr Ripley - i loved him in that!! thought it was great..
~ Dogma - really really really good.. LOVED him in it, so adorable!
~ the Bourne Identitiy - pretty good, but it was an action film, so not many acting skill were needed, lol
~ Saving Private Ryan - great film, pretty good in it

I have to say my fav Matt Damon performances were: in Dogma, Good Will Hunting, and the Talented Mr Ripley

Talented Mr. Ripley - good choice. I am starting to see your point. I guess I took against Matt Damon for going out with Minnie Driver and I was definitely envious of his Oscar. I haven't seen any of the blockbuster-style movies he's made, not my cup of tea. I was disappointed by Dogma, though.
