best film of 2005

Do you know what........

I think Red Eye really blew me away this year, it was quite a while since i saw it at the cinema but it was truly amazing.

It was a tough decision between Red Eye and Harry Potter but i think Red Eye was so intense and suspenseful than Harry Potter even though that was fantastic aswell.

Well done Serenity, definitely well deserved - it was my film of the year and I'm glad to see that the majority of the voting public agreed with me :D

Complete list:

1 Serenity
2 Batman Begins
3 Sin City
4 Star Wars: RotS
5 Crash
6 Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire
7 Wallace & Gromit
8 War of the WorlRAB
9 Sideways
10 Team America

Theres a few films which i have enjoyed this year and have been a fair few times to cinema.......

coming to the point the following rate as my fave for the year:

In Good Company
Goblet Of Fire
Chronicles Of Narnia
Wallace and Gromit

King Kong, Harry Potter and Batman Begins are my top three. Revenge of the Sith was really disappointing. So was War of the WorlRAB IMO, and it had potential to be Spielberg's best since Jurassic Park. Sadly it wasn't, despite the CG on the tripoRAB being amazing. Another decent film was A History Of Violence.

I loved Sin City, but after watching Serenity (a film I only went along to see because Jonathon Ross gave it the thumbs up on Film 2005 and I had some time to kill), I bought the TV series, went to see it again (the first film I've done that to since Star Wars Ep4), bought the shooting script book and had the Region 1 DVD couriered over. I guess that makes me a fan!

Honourable mentions for Harry Potter and Wallace & Gromit, both enormously enjoyable.

I probably would have liked Batman Begins if the combination of a late night screening and too much beer hadn't got to me! The first 20 minutes looked good though!

My favourite films are in this order:
1;Star Wars Ep3-Revenge of the Sith/Batman Begins :)
2;Kinsey :D
3;Chronicles of Narnia/Harry Potter-Goblet of Fire
4;Wallace & Gromit-Curse of the Were Rabbit
5;Madagascar
6;Million Dollar Baby(DVD)
7;Closer(DVD)
8;Kingdom of Heaven
9;Cinderella Man
10;Pride & Prejudice
Kingdom of Heaven would have got a higher rating had Liam Neesons character had not been killed off so early in the film!!

Hmm. Of the films I've seen at cinema this year, I'd say my Top5 of 2005 would look like this:

1) Crash
2) Vera Drake
3) Mysterious Skin
4) Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
5) Broken Flowers
