Best ever moment in a movie?

In Crash when Matt Dillon has to rescue a trapped Thandie Newton from the burning car.

The history of the two characters (Dillon's racist police officer sexually molests Newton's character whilst frisking her earlier in the movie) combined with the spine-tingling score makes for a real heart-thumping, lump in throat moment.

LOTR - Return of the King.

Aragorn and co on horseback, facing the armies of Sauron.

Aragorn looks at the number of soldiers they are facing. Turns back to his frienRAB and smiles.

'For Frodo.'

:eek::cry::eek::cry:

Han Solo shooting the TIE fighters just as Vader was locked onto Luke's X-Wing:

"YAHOOOOO! You're all clear kid! Now let's blow this thing and go home!"

thelma and louise driving ovee the cliff

and (bizarrley) angela bassett hitting laurence fishburne with her shoe in tina turner story. the whole cinema erupted in cheers

The Shawshank Redemption, on top of the Prison roof,

"We sat and drank with the sun on our shoulders, and felt like free men. We could'a been tarring the roof of one of our own houses. We were the LorRAB of all Creation."

That and the Marriage of Figaro playing out over the PA.

Totally agree, I was just about to post the same thing, that scene always gets me.

I also like the end scene in American Beauty, the narration is beautiful...I could cry:(

I like it when Gandalf whistles to his horse and Shadowfax comes galloping over the hill. Always brings a tear to my eye and chokes me right up!!

God, i'm such a girl!!

Also, liked the bit in In Bruges last night when
Colin Farrel (Phwoar!!!) uppercutted the woman in the restaurant
!! But that's fresh in my mind.

Brilliant!!

Close Encounters Of The Third Kind - the appearance of the UFOs at Devil's Tower leading up to the mothership arriving and landing. Magical and the effects still hold up today.

The Bourne Supermacy

Back in New York, Pam Landy talks to Jason Bounre on the phone. Just before he hangs up, he looks telescope and tells her, "You should get some sleep Pam - you're looking tired." Yes turns round, and the music kicks in.

This moment gives me goosebumps everytime I see it!!!

The bit in Brief Encounter at the end, where her husband says (along the lines of) 'You've been a long way away haven't you? Thank you for coming back to me.' That bit always makes me cry like a little baby girl! It's like he knew all along...
