Best ending to a film

Defo agree with you there. And all the masked figures and seeing the ones that been killed in the crowd and just awww

Sixth Sense
The Others
Final desintation 2 with the BBQ lol and FD1 with the sign
Buttefly effect-Both endings

Fight Club. It's not quite at the end, but it makes you go back and re-evaluate all that went before. I'm loving HBC in it.

Or, if you prefer quantity over quality, try Return of the King.

My favourite is the cheesy spaghetti western Django. The hero is left for dead in a graveyard to face 6 baddies. His hanRAB are smashed to pieces and he has a loaded gun he can't even pick up to fire... Great stuff. The final walking off into the sunset with the single worst theme song of all time playing can't be bettered.

I prefer the original ending of The Vanishing too, its just omg:eek: . I like the remake (Bridges is just so creepy) but they should have left the ending alone.

The Terminator - when Sarah is sitting rubbing her bump and saying to the tape machine (paraphrasing) 'but if you'd never sent him back, you would never be... a person could go crazy just thinking about it.'

Ju-On: The Grudge - the only horror film I've watched as an adult that had me hiding behind a cushion, it was awful and brilliant at the same time.

Poltergeist with all the graves coffins etc., not so impressive now maybe but good on the first watch.

The Matrix, that brilliant scene with Neo and the bullets.

The Two Towers - not strictly the ending but Gandalf sitting astride Shadowfax, then that amazing descent, was SO good in the cinema.

Sorry that's more than one but it's so hard to pick. :D

The original, one of the most memorable (and original) twist endings in film history.

One of the first horror movies I saw that left an impression (no I'm not that old either;))

For just pure greatness :D The godfather ending :p where he kisses the hand and then the doors shut and the credits role its just fantastic :D

Final destinations got a very good ending where the guy gets run over :p

Was that the one where

It turned out he'd been sleeping with his daughter, then he cut out his own tongue?

I missed the first part but sat agog at the rest, and the ending was just  Great film.

My one is not strictly at the end of a film. In LOTR Return of the King, when the Rohan people go to help Gondor and you see the Orcs sh*tting themselves. I just think that's brilliant.

'The Others' all the time thinking that the intruders were ghosts.
The Sixth Sense

The Blair Witch Project ------- Being the ending was the ONLY decent part of the film.

Perhaps the ones that stick in my mind are the ones that are the most unlikely ending.

Usual Suspects
Se7en
Sixth Sense

Of those three I would have to say Se7en sticks most, there is some perverted need to see what's in the box at the end. Though given the rest of the film you don't really want to know as well.
