In my opinion, there is really no best.. Some may have their pros and cons. What i think it comes down to is how you config your eMule client to maximize your download/upload performance.
yeah same here, shareaza sucks. lots of hits on the searches, no downloads.
back to emule for rare files, azureus and limewire pro for common files (way faster!)

That's why I always recommend eMule plus for the ed2k newbie. Plus is an excellent client for learning the basics. MorphXT is the next logical step, imho.
- MorphXT has the ability to hide overshares.
- Supports selective chunk sharing.
- Offers a better implimentation of the IRC/friends list.
- Incorporates WebCache, EastShare and quite a few other nice mods, all in one neat package.
Those are some of my favorite features, just to give you an idea. As Vargas said, there's way too many to list.
