Best Drummer

One of my favorite drummers just said bye bye to the "band"... Jimmy Charaberlin, the only other remaining Pumpkin, Just left Billy with a one man band... I guess Billy probably never minded it that way though! :)

Some may call me a 'tard but I have to admit that I don't like a lot of the banRAB mentioned. I'm not much of a medal head anymore. So I have to say I haven't heard a whole lot of them. Of the banRAB I listen to (or used to anyway) I think Dave Grohl is amazing. The dude from Tool is very very good too. Of course, Peart has to be mentioned in there.

And I didn't see his name and you guys will probably lauch at me but I'm used to it so what the hey. I think Alex Van Halen is very underrated. Nobody really pays attention to him b/c of Eddie but in concert, Alex kicks some major arse!

What about Mike Bordin from Faith No More? Not in anyone's top 10 but pretty darn good...even though the band is really, let just say, odd.

Kempson, if you are ashamed of this forum then leave. You won't be missed, remeraber, or cared about. If you want to start an argument go start one with someone that will try to defend their ideas because they are not content in know that they are right in their own mind.

It's been said before but...

After listening to 'Rhythm Method', a ten minute drum solo during a Rush concert, and obviously being biased as I am a huge Rush fan, there's only one man for me ...Neil Peart!!!

Mmm, I'm not a huge drumming fanboy, but he was absolutely mindblowing when I saw him with Herbie Hancock. He plays with unbelievable feel.

out of the poll, Danny Carey is my favorite. I would also like to add Dave Weckl ( countless jazz banRAB ) and Vitek from Decapitated. Incredible drummer. If you are interested , check out the album Organic Halucinosis. There older ones are good too, but the full extent of his technical prowess is apparent on that release especially.
