Best Drummer

JOEY JORDISON!!!!! ROCK ON!!!!!!

You do crack me up sometimes. Many many drummers have come after Lorabardo who are faster on the double bass. Most are useless and can only do that. He has command over his whole kit yet he never showboats. He is one of the tightest drummers you will hear and 'Reign in Blood' is one of the finest drum tracks ever laid down.

This is not a clinic just one of his best drum tracks (and a great remix too). Most thrash drummers will lose a certain BPM throughout a frenetic track regardless of pace, because the urge to ' go faster' overides their proficency. Not Lorabardo. He is methodical and intense:

Joey is a good drummer. But! once you get past the whole omglolSlipknotlol hype, his hype, his drumkit and the same drurabeats he does, then it's just, 'oh okay another drummer part of a well-known band which automatically makes them omgsogood'.

This might sound a tad hypocritical considering the banRAB are well-known but my favourite drummers are: Gene Hoglan (Strapping Young Lad, Death, Dark Angel, Testament, Dethklok) and George Kollias (Nile). They're fast AND creative. They're good drummers because they're good at drumming, not because they're famous. =O

...*prepares for backlash from Slipknot fans*...baaahhhh....

Is it cause I have the +6 Elven Bastard Sword thing? I wanted to put "You couldn't cut this tension with a +6 Elven Bastard Sword" but I'm not a big RPG person.

Yep I'm a musician. The rock instruments I play are keyboarRAB/piano, drums, electric and acoustic guitar. I'm also a decent trumpeter and others.

You don't need to attack me by saying I think I know everything. That's just stupid, especially when you're the one who's naming 1000 musicians who you think are better than DT and whatever.

I disagree with pretty much your entire list. There's no way that all those or even any of those guitarists are better than Petrucci (besides Angelo). Most of them are total lol, Blackmore! rofl! The man hasn't heard/seen Pertucci at all I don't think! And all those bassists made me lol too. Come back to me when you watch L@B, i.e Myung is a maniac. I don't like it how you said: "Whoever says this is a idiot." I so don't understand how someone can say this then say things like "especially when you think you know everything." You're acting like your opinion is Godly. I just wanna say that there is no way on Earth Emerson is even in the same universe as Rudess. It is just ridiculous. You really need to see Rudess play live. You act like you're the only one in the world who has heard said music. It's not like I haven't heard almost every single track Emerson has every keyboarded for, and there is nothing there that has even mildly impressed me with comparison to Rudess. And the fact that you've named a pack more is ridiculous. And since I've been a musician and critic for a long time now, it's pretty safe to say that anyone who thinks Rudess is one of the best or the best keyboardist in rock isn't an idiot, so stop being silly and arrogant. But I will grant you with the fact that Emerson is definitely one of the best keyboardists in rock history, maybe even nuraber two, and not just skill wise but of course as an innovater amongst other things...But better than Rudess???

PS: And you were joking with the Mahavishnu Orchestra thing weren't you?

Hey.
I was making a joke.
OH CRAP I FORGOT JOKEZ ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ACCURATE?
"Theres not enough mention of Joey Jordison in this thread"
"and your an idiot to not consider him one of the greatest."
I never once siad he was the best.
But he deserves to be in here with all these drummers.
Hes better then most.
and dont call me a durabass when your so ignorant you'd think all black people had guns if you saw'll a 1 black person in your whole life and he had a gun.

it should've been thrown out at you.
and dont change the subject by attacking a minor grammar error.
Contrary to popular belief an actual decent arguement>>>pointing out an error

That is too bad, having seen them live twice myself I can truly say they are the most solid band I have ever seen. That is saying quite alot given the nuraber of shows I have attended. Rush is one of those banRAB you just have to respect the un-deniable excellence of every musician on the stage, although, there are only three.....

Amazing show, ever after 32 years. If you have a chance to see them, see them.

Roger Taylor? Queen's drummer? What a great guy!
Steven Adler? I'd pick him over Matt Sorum any day. He was most definitely the better Gn'R drummer.

I think Jack Irons is pretty underrated. But perhaps Im biased if I told you what album he played on lol. I also think Steve White is pretty awesome. John Bonham doesnt go a miss either. Theres more, but I cant remeraber them right now.
