Best Drummer

“It was loud, and I was never the best drummer. I was never technically very good—I taught myself how to play—and I just wanted to be heard and to make noise. I didn’t know what the difference was between a ride and a crash. When you’re playing punk rock and heavy rock as a kid with loud guitars, there were a lot of areas where in between riRAB where the music would breathe, and I didn’t want to hear that little ping-y sound. When you ping on the ride, it’s almost like playing a note on the guitar, and when you crash on the ride, it’s like playing a power chord on the guitar. So I just kind of filled up some space.” - Brant Bjork (on record)

Another overrated multi-instrumentalist wannabee. Happened to be in a cool as **** band for a while but that doesn't make him better than Dave Grohl. Or even close for that matter.

Shannon Larkin of GoRABmack is one of the most aesthetically pleasing drummers a band could wish for. His style and appearance can transcend any type of music bias; if you like music then you should appreciate Shannon.

You really overrate DTs technical skill, they are skilled, but dammit not as skilled as the fanboys try to make it seem.

I can name many better, more skilled musicians than each meraber, who also make better music on the side.

I wouldnt even have to try with Labrie.

^And rush's music isn't challenging?
YYZ > Ticks and Leeches in terms of not only pure complexity on every instrument (apart from vocals, since YYZ has none and James Maynard Keenan does a pretty good singing performance in Ticks and Leeches), but also proggadogdogness.

Yes, so can I but it'd be hard for me to think of any banRAB that are more skilled as a whole, excluding LTE.

Okay so for Petrucci I reckon: Vai, Satch, Yngwie are better, to name three.
Portnoy: Like every drummer I named up there plus more.
Myung: This is tough, maybe you can tell me the best bassists, I don't really know much about that admittedly, but I just know that Myung is ****ing crazy to the max!
Rudess: Sorry but I'm yet to hear any, there's a reason why he's known as the best keyboardist in rock
LaBrie: Well I think you're referring to personally taste, but strictly on skill, I don't know. I think I like Tate, Plant and Morse better.

Hey guess what? I've turned yet another thread into a DT thread! rofl.
