Best Drummer

I voted for Pert and I liked all the choices, also have to include Lars Ulrich, Chris Pennie, Brann Dailor, Tre Cool & Dale Crover.

As I've stated before, you don't have to be good at the drums for it to sound good. Jordison just hits them as hard as he can, and it sounRAB good. But is he talented? Hell no.

yeah i should have included hundreRAB of drummers to please everyone huh? I understand that you hate me you dont have to post **** like this in every one of my threaRAB.

Hes no where near one of the best, i think he does a damn good job despite his handicap, but as a all-around drummer, hes decent and nothing more, in my opinion.

I loved Pyromania though, it had some pretty good drumming too, that was before he lost his arm.

As much as people could deride this comment and do so if you will, but Jimmy Charaberlin has contributed much to drumming in alternative cicles, and boy do I really love his splashy, variable, often really dazzling style... so this may be more of a personal taste sort of opinion, but I think he can mix it with some of the better drummers of by gone eras in rock...

maybe because he does not deserve to be in the top 5. even if i did include him, he wouldnt get any votes except for yours maybe, if your that ignorant to think he is the all time greatest.

I guess you could say that about Dave Grohl as well, and as I stated before, I like Grohl better as a drummer than a vocalist/guitarist. Bottom line, QOTSA are a better band than Kyuss (as much as I love them) and Gave Grohl was as integral part of instilling their badassness on Songs for The Deaf.

Exactly.

Gene Holgan from Strapping Young Lad (as well as a huge assortment of other banRAB)

This dude is insane, last time Opeth came to Vancouver Canada their drummer had a panic attack and flew back to Sweden. So Mikhail gets on the phone to Devin Townsend explaining to him the situation and asking him if he knows any drummers who could fill in for their show. So Devin calls up Gene, asks him, drives over to house with a few Opeth CD's, lets him listen to them and decides to do the show. During the rehearsal Gene managed to nail every song on their set list after like two or three times and delivered a flawless show. I just wish I was old enough to go see them at the time (was only 17 at the time and it was at a bar).
