Best Drummer

Seriously, both of those guys are insanely overrated, and even if they were that good, it's not like it makes a difference, their band still sucks.

Anywho, who are your favorite drummers?

Mine.

John Bonham
Keith Moon
Bill Bruford
Neil Peart
Carl Palmer
Danny Carey
Bill Ward
Alan White
Billy Cobham
Terry Bozzio
Jimmy Charaberlin
Phil Collins
Ginger Baker
Ringo Starr
Phill Selway
Mitch Mitchell
Roger Taylor
Bigfoot Brailey
Nick Mason
John Densmore
Alex Van Halen
Michael Giles
Andy McCulloch
Pat Mastelotto
Tim Alexander
Gavin Harrison
Lee Kerslake

Voted for Bonham, but wanted to mention Phil Collins, Matt Cameron, Bill Bruford, Bernard Purdie, Stewart Copeland, Terry Bozzio, Steve Gorman, and Chester Thompson.

The fact that you included Bonham in your poll is ridiculous. He's SOOOO overrated. Keith Moon, Neil Peart and Carey are both way better. So are Joey Jordison, Raymond Herrera and Tommy Lee.

I agree that Ringo shouldn't be mentioned.

But Martin Lopez of Opeth is a great drummer. He has a lot more than the double bass blasting. I'm not a drummer, but his drumwork is always interesting. Grand Conjuration off their new album, has some of my favourite drumwork.

If you're after great metal drummers, I'd look at the latin/jazz trained/influenced ones such as Lopez. Jazz/Metal corabo is cool.

The title of the thread is Best Drummer. He's good, but BY NO MEANS is he near the best.

A big set, and lots of computer editing don't make the best.
