Best Drummer Ever

I think one of the cool things about Meg White is that sometimes her floor tom and/or bass drum are tuned so that they create a more resounding sound, instead of the flatter sound they usually make (in the bass drum's case, that is). This sorta makes a bass-esque noise, so it's almost like she's filling two roles at once. :drummer:

Its something that goes against religeon. Its given poetic licence alot, like here. So imagine drumming as a religeon, and saying something like Dave is the best would be herasey.

That statement is too steriotypical. It's like saying that in general, black drummers are better than white ones. Most drummers have more than one style of music that they play anyways. The bigger the backround, the more opportunities you can get in your career.

LegenRAB like Buddy Rich can easily immitate what a lot of rock drummers can do. I consider those guys the best. With out them, drumming just wouldn't be the same.

Why is Charlie Watts on there?, Hes not bad but hes not that great either, wheres Neil Peart, Bill Bruford, Danny Carey and Carl Palmer?, all better than Watts...Of these options i vote Bonham.

On what grounRAB? Overall maybe, but thats because rock is more accecible and you hear more drummers, therefore the scale goes down.

Rock being an amalgamate of all roots music, it seems that rock drummers, having the ability to do jazz and other styles, would have the ability to outshine jazz only drummers. Neil Peart, Carter Beauford, Dave Grohl, John Bonham, Keith Moon, Mike Portney, Ginger Baker, and Stewart Copeland are great example of drummers who can really take rock from some misbegotten art form that jazz guys and classical musicians snub and make it viable.

Just because Meg White and the guy from AC/DC don't go super techinical doesn't mean:
A.) Their bad
B.) That rocks bad
C.) That its a genre that employees terrible skill-less people on the kit.
