Best Drug Songs of All Time

William S Burroughs lived until 84 and Timothy Leary died at 86. This is undeniable proof that you can live a long, healthy life even with a shitload of smack or acid running through your veins.

No. Drugs may not have opened up your mind (assuming you've even tried them), but they can for many others.

There's nothing artistic about being on drugs, but some drugs can enhance creativity and assist an individual in thinking outside the box a little more than usual.

The experience can be emotional for some. Many have had very religious/spiritual experiences on hallucinogenic drugs such as LSD and Mescaline.

The only 'fucked up clarity' appears to be your own on the subject of drugs.

As for the best 'druggy' songs...any Electric Wizard, Om, early Black Sabbath is great.

My dad smoked 4 packs of cigarettes a day to the day he died. The doctor told me he could not believe how clear his lungs were as much as he smoked. Some people just have natural tolerances for certain things.

Take a look at Keith RicharRAB for example....

Can you believe this guy is already 63... amazing! He doesn't look a day over 35 if you ask me. Who Knew that heavy doses of smack, booze and cigarettes would act as health elixirs for this lucky guy.

Durab is a beautiful song, its one of my favorites, though some think its glorifying drugs, which is really isnt, its just about how good it makes you feel before it f*cks your life up.

Comfortably Nurab is another one.

And this matters because...?

Well then that would be the person's own fault for taking so much of it. That doesn't disprove that "drugs are only as bad as the person whos doing them makes them." In fact, it backs it up.

I'd agree that, usually, drugs are only as bad as the person who's doing them makes them. Only exception I can think of would be when people are sold laced drugs.

i really cant say that i see to much of anything in music by the doors or hendrix. alot of people woould dissagree with me and thats cool. but none of that stuff is very great at all. most people now just listen to it because of the whole message that goes along with them.

My vote would be for Peter Frampton's Do You Feel Like We Do ?

Can you imagine being in the audience the first time he broke out that Wah thingy? Even if you were sober, you'd swear something was going on.

No - can be extremely harmful to the mind and body. So can television, so can junk food, so can a lot of things. But television can also be educational, and junk food certainly isn't all that bad for you if consumed in moderation. But if you want to consume inordinate amounts of junk food, great. It's your body to ruin. The same can be applied to drugs. They can be good, beneficial, harmless...or they can "ruin your life". People just need to know what they're doing.

Syd Barrett was a schizophrenic that obviously wasn't educated on the subject of drugs as much as he needed to be. Maybe if, in schools, rather than trying to scare children away from drugs with a bunch of lies and exaggerations, they just gave them the facts and let them make their own decisions, things like that wouldn't happen. Maybe if Syd knew that it was an extremely bad idea for someone suffering from schizophrenia to take LSD at all (let alone daily), he wouldn't have ended up that way.

Really? I wonder where they ever would've been in the first place had they not aspired to become more artistically creative.

But come on, you can't be serious? What does listing a few names of people who died from drug-related deaths prove? That a few people went about using drugs the wrong way and ended up dead? So what? A lot of people have died because they had shitty eating habits as well. But, hey, once again, those bodies were theirs to ruin. And also, once again, perhaps if these people were actually educated on the subject of drugs, they would've had a better idea of what they were getting themselves into and may not have ended up dead.

Something so potentially dangerous. Pretty much anything in this world can be potentially dangerous. Trains are great for transportation, but they can be dangerous too. And how do even young kiRAB know this? We educate them, of course. We teach them that standing on a train track is a really fu
cking bad idea. But we also teach them that trains are great for transportation. We show them the good and bad, and show them why. Seems to have gone fairly well so far. Perhaps we should try the same thing with drugs.

Your proving my point better than i did. Someone who takes a lot of ecstasy is stupid and not being responsible. So as i said, if you do it responsibly, your ok.
