Best Disney Movie!

My all time favourite is 'The Lion King' I was a HUGE fan as a kid so it brings back loaRAB of memories for me.
My other favourites are Sleeping Beauty, Toy Story (both), The Aristocats

Worst ones (IMO) are 'The Jungle Book', 'A Bugs Life' (rip off of 'Antz') and 'The incredibles'

My personal favorites are Mulan, Lady & The Tramp, The Little Mermaid and Aladdin.

The Lion King stole ideas from another animation - Kimba: The White Lion. Still it's a great Disney film. Another good one is Beauty & The Beast. All those stand out for me.

I'd probably say Bambi, it was a very colourful and enchanting film, but it packed an emotional punch when his mother was shot.

The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast are close runners up.

I also remember that trailer. It was so morish and shown a good few months before the film was released! A great way to build up the hype!

I use to love the animated classics.

My faves would be:

1. The Lion King
2. Beauty and the Beast
3. Hurcules
4. Aladdin
5. Mulan
6. Tarzan
7. The Jungle Book

The worst:

1. Atlantis (which is the most recent I've seen and probably killed the animated films for me. Haven't seen Lilo and Stitch, Brother Bear or Home on the Range).
2. The Black Cauldron
3. The Fox and Hound

Saddest moments:

1. Dumbo getting separated from his mother.
2. Bambi's mother being shot by hunters.
3. The death of Mufassa in the Lion King.

and finally...
4. The decision to not make any more hand drawn animated films for cinema release. Surely one of, if not the saddest Disney moments

Have any of you seen "The Iron Giant"? It is an overlooked gem that is similar in many ways to the best of Disney films. I recommend you see it. Very well animated, funny, heartwarming, and sad in places.

Beauty and the Beast is the best Disney film, great music, great drawing and just an echanting story done so well...

I think disney and I instantly think of that film...amazing.. it was everything Disney was about...sadly no where near as good as they once were.

top 5 (+1):

1) Aladdin (I've loved it since I was 6. I once went through that phase, which my little brother now goes through, where I used to watch it at least 5 times a week. Now I know how my elder sisters felt whenever they wanted to watch TV, but I was watching Aladdin over and over again until I'd managed to memorise pretty much the whole script)

2) The Jungle Book
3) The Lion King
4) Beauty & The Beast
5) Finding Nemo

and a shocker at 6...

6) Fox & The Hound :o - I know this was commonly panned by everyone, but for some reason, I really enjoyed this film, apart from a VERY boring 15 minute patch in the middle. I feel embarrased for liking this film.

The Lion King for sure. Although The Lion King 2 is passable in terms of plot and The Lion King 3 (1 and a half in the US) is probably just been made to get some cash into Disney!
