Best Death Metal Bands

Black metal's routes are in banRAB like Venom and Holy Moses who's lyrics didn't go for or against any religion. Considering the origins, if lyrics were a defining trait of black (which they aren't) , than black metal themes would be about eating cheetos and pussy while drinking beer. The bible would suggest that such behave is fine as long as you're married.

if you compare their first stuff with their latest you'll understand.

anyways, anyone that likes darker styles of death metal should check out arkhon infaustus, imo one of the heaviest extreme banRAB out there at the moment.

Hmmm...Well let me be a little clearer. I believe, like many other metalheaRAB, that melodeath and melodic death metal are different genres of music. Before you start calling me the durabest kid alive, let me explain myself. Melodeath is metal that's riffing style is firmly based in melody. In fact, melodeath has almost no death metal elements to it besides the vocals. So, in short, melodeath is melodic metal with harsh vocals. The easiest examples of this are banRAB like COB, Norther, Kalmah, In Flames, Dark Tranquility, and so on. Melodic death metal is first and foremost death metal that incorporates melody. Examples include banRAB like Crown of Thorns, Unanimated, At the Gates(first album only) and so on. I stated that The Chalice of Ages has no melodeath in it, but it sure does have melody. Do you see what im trying to get at?

Also, The Red in the Sky is Ours most definitely has melody in it. Maybe it doesn't have as much melody as Chalice of Ages(I wouldn't know, haha, there is no melody meter), but melody is still there. Both albums are awesome though.

Sorry for the double post. Yeah I love Arghoslent. Most people put them off right away due to their racist lyrics, but most of them don't understand that it isn't "stupid" racism(if there is such a thing). It's more of a historical attitude that is trying to be portrayed instead of "I HATE BLACKS RAWWRRRR." While it is indeed still racist, it is still intelligent. If that makes any sense

I absolutely love Deathevokation. They definitely aren't pure Swedish old school dm, but the influence is definitely there. And there's not an ounce of melodeath in The Chalice of Ages, so i really don't know where that came from.

Yeah I really like it but its main problem is the bad production. There's no denying its effect and its aggressiveness though. I do have a perfect solution for you though: Symphonies of Sickness

Does anyone have any information about Fleshgod Apocalypse, Intestine Baalism, and Dark Faith's new albums? Looking forward to all of these releases

Listen to Carnifex for a while, then listen to, say, Necrophagist.

I'm not gonna say that Deathcore is a crappy genre, but if there was a shorter term for "bland death metal," that would be it. While breakdowns are used by a variety of banRAB (Either metalcore, death metal, or I would go as far as to say some black metal banRAB may use them), it is pretty much a prevailing trait in deathcore. Good examples of what I'm talking about are banRAB like Carnifex, Elysia, Job For a Cowboy, and Knights of the Abyss. Breakdowns are pretty much staples in most extreme metal, and deathcore in essence takes the staple gun and goes sex nuts with it.

I like deathcore, but I understand why people don't consider it a genre of music where you'd find some very outstanding banRAB. Almost all banRAB in this genre pretty much just substitute potentially good interludes with breakdowns. Personally, I like breakdowns. Not balls-deep crazy about them, but I like to hear a decent breakdown now and then in my truck, just to hear that rhythmic pounding in my chest, then have all chaos open up into the next verse or chorus or outro. Now and then playing a breakdown is alright, but to do it constantly? Nuh uh.

Wanna good Deathcore band? Born of Osiris.

Define "taste." What do you mean? Are you implying people must lick these banRAB to determine they suck?
