Best deal for phone and data service, which provider ?

I'm currently a Verizon wireless customer with phone service and would like to get service with phone and data to surf the net.

Im trying to keep the monthly price down, right now to get the data with my phone I would be looking at over $100 per month

I get 900 minutes anywhere in the USA but take a lot of advantage of the call any 11 numbers for free on any network ( the old alltel plan)

I see these 45 data and phone planes in the WalMart and wonder about those? are they any good or a waste of time?

are there any other alternatives to keep the price down?
 
You need to find the carrier that has the coverage when and where you need it. What good is a cheap plan if you don't have the coverage you need?

Wal-Mart uses the T-mobile network, which doesn't have the network coverage of Verizon and AT&T. That could be an issue for you. It also doesn't support the Blackberry if that is the phone you wish to use.
 
I really like virgin the use the sprint network and they are pretty cheap as low as 25 bucks for 300 mins and unlimited data. they have some pretty nice phones (smart phones) and regular phones. I get really good service everywhere but my basement.
