best community....

Depends I use a few sites mainly for community but it all is to do with how you get on with the people and if the subject matter in them is of interest to you :)

I don't know why you have this idea that you got a warning simply for mentioning TTC . There were larger issues involved .
Put TTC in your sig if you want with a clear explanation of what it is for all I care. Unlike some places it wouldn't effect your chances of ever be there in the least.
 
Question,is there some sort of biff between FTN and the two major scene trackers?
Their relationship doesn't appear to be as close it once was.So just curious,plus I recall feeling bluntly putting down this notion that ftn is a community tracker by pouring cold water over their forums?
Is spx the only thing thats left of this relationship?

FTN packs are great, pre's aren't brillinat, but I don't mind waiting a few more seconds. However, I disagree about forums, they aren't the best I've seen, but their IRC is a place to have fun :)

I remember some threads between B. and F. in the past. Nowadays, I dunno know if they are still angry or what else. Maybe they 'll tell you.
 
It really depends where you fit in. Everyone will have their own POV on this subject. You have to find the right community for you. Hell, my buddy likes the HDBits community and I've heard it's full of IT entrepreneurs and encoding elitists.

To each his own I guess.

Totally agree. Never really been one for forums and irc and the whole 'community' thing etc, but recently 'discovered' irc one day while bored.

Only experience I've had with it and the communities is from the trackers I'm on...

SCC - irc chat is quite funny to read, some of the convo's are as random as some of the threads I've read on FST... pre-times are great but I never really take part in the forums, although their guides and help section are very good too. (I've heard only really SCT and SCC challenge each other for fastest pre-times, but again only what I've heard... getting on SCT is no easy task)

ScL - Never take part in their forums although there's some funny stuff if you're bored and just browsing, haven't been on their irc yet, pre times pretty rubbish but they get quite a few good FL packs

TL - Only ever use those guys really if I've missed a film being released, and grabbing it late. There's that many users on there it's easy to get your share back.

PT - nuff said... porn's, porn... :naughty:

PtN - Bit over-rated... only look for packs on there now, everything else is available elsewhere much more quickly... same with TB and Rev-TT, decent sites but everything available elsewhere more quickly. The last 2 have good help sections etc as well... although again I don't take much part in their forums.

The one I use the most though and do take part in the forums is TS, decent small community, good pre-times and very, very easy to keep a good ratio on also with all the freeleech stuff they offer. The unusual thing with them is an intergrated IPB forum on the TBDev tracker so the forums are a bit more what i'm 'used to' I suppose.

Like KushBlow says... everyone will have a different opinion and no doubt everyone uses various sites for whatever they feel is it's best attribute, kind of a hard question to answer really... doubt anyone will ever agree on what the best community actually is :lol:
