best car stereo choice, help!?

i am about to get a some speakers and amp for a Jeep Wrangler (soft top). my wife is set on getting a 300watt amp and two 8'' subs. since it is a soft top Jeep (theft friendly). I suggested upgrading the 4 four built in speakers and running a 300watt amp into them. might sound as good? and also more "anti-thief". what do you think?

I have to agree with you, only, and simply beacuse of that theft aspect... Just hide the amp under a seat or something...

my best suggestion is to tell you to get bigger subs because 8s arnt that good i have 12s and they kik ass but 10s are ok and then that would be cool
