Best car seat for 2 door car?

I am trying to figure out what infant car seat will be best for our 2 door car. We have very long doors and the front seats slide and fold pretty far up. Does anyone have any recommendations? I want the car seat where the base stays in the car and the seat part comes out as a carrier. Thanks for any advise!

any carseat suxx as far as a 2 door car goes...we have a 2 door chevy cobalt...
my oldest is in a boosterseat with a high back and thats by evenflo
and my youngest has the carrier with the base, that is evenflo also.
its basically trial and error. some will fit, others wont.
if you have just one kid, you can put the carrier with the base in the middle like we did with my first...that is easiest...that way you dont need to sit waaayy up front almost kissing the dash...lol...

I would go to a baby store and ask. Or buy one from WalMart, try it in your car, and if it doesn't fit return it. It is hard to find a car seat that fits in a small car well! I have a small 4-door, and the Graco SafeRide (the bigger one) fit OK with the passenger seat scooted forward. I think if I were to do it again, I would buy a Graco SnugRide (the smaller one)in the system with the stroller.

I'd get a convertable seat over a infant car seat...I'd never recommend that normally but in your case it would be a pain in the ass to get a car seat in and out all the time, easier to just get your baby.
