Well I love the MDX but the car is do for a redesign so which is not good news for you because once that Redesign models (2011) comes out, the MDX will drop 10k in price but the style of this car is exceptional. The X5 is really the better choice since every generation of the X5, BMW has stuck to a basic design which mean depreciation is quite low for this car since most of the X5's look alike. But if money is not an issue and you do not plan on selling, I really would take the MDX.
