Best car chase in a movie...

Hi all. i've just watched Ronin (again) and have to say i love the car chase in it, very :cool:it's really got me in the mood to watch another one. Any recommendations?
 
yes the shopping mall chase is good in "blues brothers" ...... also the car chase in the opening scenes in "robbery" 1967...and countless bond films !
 
Not really a car chase as such in Speed.

Bad Boys II has a good car chase.

The classic named all the time is The French Connection.

I've always like the one in The Man With The Golden Gun, where the car flips over the river. Proper bo! :D
 
Have to agree with:

French Connection
Matrix Reloaded
Bullitt
Blues Brothers

and add most of Steven Speilberg's Duel (essentially one long chase sequence between a lorry and a car)

and Vanishing Point

The car chase at the beginning of Quantum of Solace made me feel sick, though.
 
Nothing beats Bullitt for a car chase sequence. I'm not sure if the movie is wonderful though.

I agree with the others, apart from Cannonball Run, it is a brainless cheesy movie, and fun when you're in the right mood, but it's definitely got no place on a best list :)
 
The truck chase in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Great one, plus Indy get dragged underneath the truck, and climbs back up and takes on the truck guy again.
 
Bullitt for the Dodge Charger vs Mustang.

Gone in 60 SeconRAB (1974) for one of the longest car chases on film and some great crashes. (Don't ever watch the Nicholas Cage version, ever.)

Cannonball! (not Cannonball Run, the 1976 one with David Carradine.)

Even though a lot is CGI I still rate the Freeway Chase in Matrix Reload, Trinity on a Ducati? what's not to love.

The French Connection has a decent one, but it's short.

Can't beat a good car chase.
