Just thought this would be a neat thread to see what other people think

i was lucky enough to be bought a 42 inch phillips and a vluray for my room recently and me and my mates have been stocking up on tons of blu-discs, and ive been utterly BLOWN AWAY by how some of my fave old movies look, and of course, some newer, crisper ones. heres a list of my fave blurays thus far, and i hope other posters will contribute with theirs.
The Dark Knight - Amazing movie, and it looks genuinely stunning: brilliant transition, fantastic depth, and it simply looks amazingly sharp and stil probably the most crystal clear, sharped BLU yet.
Planet of the apes - my fave movie ever, and it looks stunning in high definition. not the BEST old movie transfer ever, but more than enough to make a big difference: my fave movie looking and sounding better and sharper than ever, basically.
No country for old men - incrediably intense movie, and along with TDK the sharpest, cleanest, most crystal clear picture quality ive witnessed on bluray. really stunning depth of colour.
HP and the philosiphers stone - okay, technically this is quite a shoddy transfer, as the dark scenes especially look very murky and poor, but this is my fave childhood movie, and it really does still look and sound better.
Watchmen - same principle as TDK and NCFOM; stunning clarity and sharpness, but with a wider colour palette: the effect sequences are seamless
The green mile - The facial close ups and clarity is stunning in ful screen hd, perfect quality for an intense drama such as this. maybe not the BEST transfer ever, but a damn clear one when it comes to the facial focus. although i have to admit, it does lack depth in some scenes.
Star trek - perfect bluray showcase: as sharp and clear as they come, with plenty of action to tets both audio and visual settings and strength. incrediably fun movie to boot
Casino Royale - another real bluray showcase - the beach scenes are amazing, and the sheer brightness and palette is perfect for demonstrating precisely what bluray can do. also sounRAB excellent when set up with a system.
The bourne ultimatum - not the brightest, sharpest movie ever, but on a big screen with good sound system, this is a treat for the senses: a proper, big gritty action movie for HD tv's. sound is amazing, makes it a proper
experience to watch.
Wall-e - OH. MY. GOD. that is all.
