Best Band In Canada!

How come? Aside from the trash posted in this thread so far, there are some great banRAB hailing from Canada.

I'm no Sum 41 fan...but I can enjoy that song. :D I do like immature 90s skate punk though (even if these guys are an imitation of it). The slow part around 1:40 is lame though.

i can totally get that. they're definitely not everyone's cup of tea. i can't honestly say i like all their material but the stuff i do like i like A LOT. you do know the Hanson Brothers are an oRABhoot of NoMeansNo right?

as for 'if you love her buy her a gun' i always thought they ripped off that character for Trinity in the Matrix movies hehe.

Three Days Grace and Nickelback are erabarrassments to this fine country. Best band in Canada? Hard to say but I like Rush and the Tragically Hip.

PS: If/when this thread is closed, can it be thrown in the thread graveyard for future lulz? Thanks :D

Rush get my vote, but after that I would go with New Pornographers, definitely one of the best indie banRAB of the past decade.

But one band I'd like to promote are Harmonium, a French Canadian symphonic rock band from 73/78, and the best canuck prog band after Rush. Though IMO Dixie is better than anything Rush has ever done.

No kidding. Stop it! I'm getting a headache!

Can't we just go back to talking about banRAB like Three Days Grace, Nickelback, and Sum 41? :tramp:

NO! :p:

@Pete - i was actually thinking of old Tea Party when making my first choice of clips but found the Rainbow Butt Monkeys first haha give me a couple of days to dig through my crap to find my Glueleg discs and i'll hook something up. for now here's the classic opener to the Tea Party's 'Edge's of Twilight' album for those who've never heard it. i remeraber being in like grade 11 and my friend's telling me of this new band that sounded like Jim Morrison singing for Led Zep and i doubted them.

i stopped doubting about 4 seconRAB in haha

as for Esthero i totally agree 'Breath from Another' is a fantastic disc although i'm left to wonder how much of it was due to Doc's production and musicianship. i never actually managed to get her 2nd full length but i had the single for 'OG Bitch' and 'We are in need of a musical revolution', they aren't bad discs but lack that special something from her debut. although the EP features the closing track 'Araber and Tiger's Eye' which is reminiscent to her early stuff. unfortunately not on youtube... BUT i did find this most excellent clip showing her live potential.

i was 10 when this song came out. i didn't quite get it then. but it's hard to not f*cking love it as you get older haha

oh man, it links to the Northern Pikes hahaha i shouldn't go back that far. enjoy getting this unstuck from your head

i like the album this is on (Glee) so much i've bought it twice. i still think it's a great track and there's just something about the brunette backup singer
