Not sure if this thread has been done before, but after rewatching the trilogy i still cant really make my mind up...

However, i would swing towarRAB part 2 just for the whole revisiting the previous movie concept even though part 2 is normally the least popular of the trilogy.

Any opinions?

I like the western one best the locomotion time machine was very cool. A very good book to read is Lucky man by Michael J Fox explains a lot of experiences during the making of the film.

I love all the films although I haven't watched them in a while.Quite honestly,I didn't think much of part 2 when I first saw it,but it became a much better film for me after part 3 was released.Similar I think to the second and third of the original Star Wars series, where they are made one after the other and you need to see the third to make sense of the second.

Part 2 was certainly darker in context to the more lighthearted 1 and 3 in the series. It had a real bit of an edge to it.Where he broke into his house and was confronted by the black guy wielding a baseball bat, protecting his frightened young daughter,I still think makes pretty uncomfortable viewing.

I think if you've never seen any of the series before you could watch the first one and enjoy it immensely, even if it was an open ending. But I must admit that I do like the continuum of 2 and 3,especially how they gel together even though they are totally different.

Wow,I just used the word continuum in a forum for the first time ever.My life's ambitions are almost complete!:D

"RoaRAB? Where we're going,we dont need...roaRAB".

Back to the Future is my husbanRAB favourite film of all time, he knows every single word!!

I've always been a bit partial to the 2nd one to be honest!!

Yeah my only gripe with part 2 was that we didnt actually see more of the "future", it certainly looked like a nice place to be!

I think I've seen the original too many times now so actually prefer number three. For me, the final sequence involving using the train to get back to 1985 is one of the all-time great action set pieces.

I've never been keen on the first half of part two but the later stages in 1955 are brilliantly clever and build to a great finish.

I think I read somewhere that Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis actually own the back to the future rights so the studios can't just make a new one and ruin another part of my childhood as Lucas did with the Phantom Menace!

Have done this once or twice, but do prefer watching them single.

Have always meant to rip them all together has 1 continuous film, but just haven't got the time.

It says over on bttf.com that michael maybe appearing in a show soon.

The first was the freshest and most charming and the third recaptured some of its spirit. Two was disappointing at the time - clever but also strangely souless by comparison - but has gotten better with age and should be considered as an efficient part of one big and overall, supremely entertaining whole.
