best artist at each genre

lets try and compile a list of the best artist for each genre. i dont like to classify artist in genre, but because it is to hard to compare apples to oranges lets try this. comparing copy and paste and either add to or edit this list.

blues - bb king
classical - beethoven
country - johnny cash
electronica - daft punk
folk - bob dylan
guitar - SRV
alternative/grunge - pearl jam
metal - metallica
pop - elvis pressely
psychedelic - pink floyd
punk - the ramones (i say velvet underground... but i dont think everyone would agree they are punk)
raggae - bob marley
rap - wu tang clan
rock - the rolling stones

its not that the beatles dont deserve to be the best of their genre... they just kind of covered so many genres that it is hard to tie them to one.

alot of these might also come of as being obvious because they started/popularized that style of music... but usually if you make a sound that is beautiful enough for people to try and imitate, then there is a good chance you were probably the best at making that sound.

Tastes change, that thread was made two years ago give or take and in that same thread I also say.



I don't why I said I always have, I also made a 3 inches of blood thread I think and use to listen to metalcore. That was an error on my part.
