Best Animated Movie Ever!

oh!!...i noe that show!...i've never seen the animated movie before however... ...it's about rabbits and stuff right?...Since you give such a high ranking for it, i might see it some day!...hahaha...thanx

Spirited Away by Miyazaki is by far one of the best. It is a story about a young girl, Chihiro, trapped in a strange new world of spirits. When her parents undergo a mysterious transformation (they are turned into pigs), she must call upon the courage she never knew she had to free herself and return her family to the outside world.
This is a wonderful film...a must see.

Hmm, I have Spirited Away on DvD as part of a collection of Anime movies called "Studio Ghibli". Yet for some reason I haven't yet watched it. I'll have to get around to that!

Anyhow, I am currently of the opinion that The Lion King is the best animated movie. However, I do expect that to change after seeing Spirited Away.

I was thinking the same thing. If we are talking only CG films than Toy Story 1 & 2 and The Incredibles must be included as well. If we're talking ALL animated films than that list gets really big.

Oh, hmm! I also own this on DVD, but I somehow forgot about it. This movie may well be better than The Lion King, as I had previously stated.

I have to say, I just don't get anime's appeal. I never have.
I hear there is an Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie being made, and I'm sure that one will be high on my list :)

The Incredibles was a great CG film. The upcoming Cars film by Pixar looks good too. In fact, all of Pixar's output is rather good. Disney is going to miss them.

I'll agree. ALthough I did like Nausica, and Laputa also. Howl's moving castle had great animation, but the story line ending was poor.

I have been a long fan of Naussicaa, the manga and the anime. Had the anime encompassed the same breadth as the manga, I would say it the best animated movie ever. But that is not the case.
As such, the Incredibles is a superb animated movie and is probably better.

I would have to say that a good one that I use to like from the 1980's (back before high-tech CGI) was "The Land Before Time". (If you haven't seen it but you saw the movie "Dinosaur" then you got a gist of the idea.) "The Land Before Time" was good until they came up with a "out-to-video-store" sequel, then third, then fourth, then fifth, then sixth, then seventh, then... (do you get where I'm going with this?) I probilby thought they were good in the early 90's when I was younger and in the proper age group. As for now, I would say Shrek II would be the best with CGI and the Lion King or Tarzan would be the best non CGI animated features. But I would wrather go with Shrek II any day.
