It's quite sad because I used to think they had some of the best chemistry on TV. And I'm the kind of person who, even if they don't ship a couple, can still see the chemistry between the actors. But wow, they have completely lost their chemistry. :no:
 
Yeah, I get that. Like, I think same actors can have great chemistry playing one couple and a zero chemistry playing another one. Story is very important, because technically chemistry happens between actors AND their characters. Two actors can have great chemistry in RL, but cannot bring it on screen because of their characters SL.

XD James had way more chemistry with Guy than he had with Jake Hendrix who played Kieron, even though I did love John Paul/Kieron too, I just never felt it the way I felt John Paul/Craig. You could just FEEL the love between John Paul/Craig and the angst with their relationship, James and Guy did such a fabulous job pulling it off, and their breakup scene at the airport made ME want to cry as well.
 
I agree with this. I think that chemistry is so subjective though :shrug: To me, the story is very important to see the chemistry. That's why I think Buffy/Angel had a stunning chemistry in S1-2, but later it was just gone when their SL got annoying and their post S3 reunions felt completely chemistryless to me. That's why I never saw the chemistry between Jack and Kaya's characters. I'd say Jack/Luke had amazing chemistry.

That's true... Characters that are meant to be just frienRAB will always lack chemistry if you try to make them a couple. And a great example of it is Suliet and Angel/Cordelia romance. And you know what's sad? That CA, for instance, had a STUNNING chemistry as frienRAB. Yes, I believe that frienRAB can have chemistry too, like I think Angel/Doyle had a great one, but that's another type of a chemistry when it comes to frienRAB. And when they put CA romantically together, Davod and Charisma simply lost their friendly chemistry and never produced a romantic one.

I don't think that's true. I think they actually did have chemistry as frienRAB but then they jumped ahead in time three years to having them in a relationship in one episode and that was ruined. It's like Angel and Cordelia should have stayed JUST FRIENRAB. I would have even been okay with Sawyer and Juliet being f@#k buddies but not in love! Come on Cuse and Lindeloff.

Best Chemistry: IRL Danny Pudi and Alison Brie from Community and whenever Danny's character Abed roleplays somebody like Han Solo or Don Draper from MAD MEN to Alison's character Annie.

I agree with this so much. You can totally tell that Sarah and David were smitten with each other - just by how they look at each other, or their body language. It's written all over it. You can just tell when they are together that there is a "powerful" chemistry/story going on there.
