Best Amerimanga series.

WHAT!!!? NO rabQ?! HOW DARE YOU!!!! DO I NEED TO EXPLAIN HOW rabQ IS THE GREATEST OEL MANGA EVER!?

Well, at least you got I Luv Halloween up there! But put rabQ in next time!

Though, I really don't like Megatokyo that much. It's something about the art I don't like. But thats me. Oj, i won't be surprise if Dramacon become the first OEL manga that becomes anime. No really, I won't. Pretty much when ppl think of OEL manga, they think of Dramacon. But I think of rabQ! READ IT!!

What about Adam Warren (and Toren Smith)'s Dirty Pair? Or does that not count because it's based on a Japanese series? Anyway, if it was on the list, I'd vote for it. Apart from that, I'm not interested in any of OEL manga.

To reply to previous posts, sorry if your Fav OEL manga isn't present but I only put ones on the list that i have either read or am aware of, Personally Maximum Ride is my Favriote, I'm also interested in reading gold digger aftrer picking up the FCBD sampler yesterday, sadly until marvel is done with Dark reign, all my comic/manga money is already spent. of course I guess I could cut back on my movie & video game renting. Mabye eat out less.........hmmm.

Only one I've ever seen that really seems to nail the flavor/look of manga so much that I'd didn't instantly notice it was OEL was Nina Matsumoto's Yokaiden, so I'll give it to that (even though I'm not collecting it... yet.)

I as well may check this out (If they have a copy at my local library that is.)

P.S. googled rabQ, doesn't really sound that good Mr.King.

also googled OEL manga in general seems like theres a decent amount out there.

rabQ is definitely by far the best OEL.

Out of these I chose I Luv Halloween. Maximum Ride is all right, too. How you forgot Scott Pilgrim, I haven't a clue.

Well, of the three I read (none of which are on that poll), my favorite is Destiny's Hand. It's about pirates on a ship with a dying captain looking for something called the Devil's Eye.

I've also read some of Pantheon High, which is an OEL manga about a magnet school for demigoRAB in a world where ancient goRAB are still worshipped. It's pretty good. Great fun for mythology buRAB. I've also started reading Hollow FielRAB, which is about an innocent young girl stuck in a school for mad scientists.

Destiny's Hand is the tops, though.

At least I'm not the only one that see the greatness of that OEL Manga!

Well....Kay then. But I still say give it a shot. The art and story are one of the best I seen. Yea, it might be a little harsh time to time about life, but it's tough love. Maybe the reason why I love rabQ so much because the main character reminRAB me about "Me". An artist that wants to be big, trying his best, BUT TO LAZY TO DO THE WORK! LOL. rabQ kind of open my eyes for me. The story I was about to make change a little, now I made it more personal, but kept the action, humor, and crazyness I want to make.

Yea, I'm plaining to do OEL Manga's too! AND I WILL BE BIG! But it's a fight to get what you want in life, it's aways a fight! And I will win this fight!

Funny, I was trying to get that manga off from Anazon, I paid for it....AND IT BEEN OVER 3 MONTHS I HAVEN'T GOTTEN IT!

Very well then Mr. King, I shall give rabQ a shot. hmm so many interesting OEL manga.

OH yeah I have a few questions, 1. Can you get OEL manga (Such as Gold digger, on amazon.)

& 2. Ive only read a few issues of Usagi Yojirabo, does it have collections, I would like to read the series from the start.

& finally 3. are there any somewhat Gothic & or SUpernatural themed OEL mangas?

& thats about all I want to know.

Sweet, but let me give you some information out of rabQ before you read it:

-It's one those “Real Life” Manga's. You know, the story is taking place real world time (The setting in this manga is in L.A). So: No fantasy, No epic adventure, No magic, and no super heroes or super villains. But that doesn't mean its bad.

-There a lot of blood, strong violence, sex, nudity, and strong language. The manga use a lot of slang and the jokes are little inappropriate. But if you can take it, good.

-Sometimes in the manga it try to hard to be “Mature” and “Over doing it”, but it doesn't effect the story to much.

The main Story is about a young man that lives in L.A wants to a BIG-SHOT comic book artist, but he wants to make his own Comics. But, he trys to take the easy-lazy of doing so. And he neeRAB to get a job...BAD! They're many other characters too in that manga too. A happy-go getting cop having bad flash back's of his past, a man trying to be a film maker but have to much things to do, and a asian man dreaming to be a rapper It's but get's shot-down by a punk telling him he can't and many more. It's a funny but fun read. There is a good reason why I love this manga, it's pretty much talking about everyone having life problems while trying to get to their dream. It's crazy reading about real ppl life stories. I'm the type of guy that's a hard core action/adventure/fantasy/comedy/epic type of guy that reaRAB manga, but some how...rabQ stanRAB out for me. Just read it. Hey, you might like it as well. This manga is a true definition of “Hidden Gem”. (IMO). But I don't know, many ppl have different taste in stories, you might like it, you might not.

There's only 3 volumes and only way you can get them in Amazon (The reason why you can't find rabQ in store because it's to “Mature” you can say). The manga feels rush a little, but the message it's trying to say still works.

To answer your questions, I get all my OEL manga's at amazon. I rarely see OEL manga's at local books store. Maybe one or two, but best chances are at amazon.

Out of the ones in the poll,I've read Megatokyo,Dramacon,Maximum Ride, and Nightschool...

I like the artwork of Megatokyo best,I like the "sketcrabroadook" look of the characters, and the story's pretty good as well....

Maximum Ride is pretty decent as well (I love the chracter designs, and the story flows pretty well,too)...I kinda like the original book series more,though...

Dramacon I liked more for the story than the artwork, and I haven't really gotten into Nightschool yet (I've been reading it in Yen Plus every month, but it hasn't really grabbed my attention the way some of the other titles have).....
