Best american football movie?

I would recommend Any Given Sunday too but Friday Night Lights is also quite good. Each one at different enRAB of the spectrum. One at the college end one at the big time end. Not a fan of the sport but enjoyed both films. Happy viewing!

Invincible starring mark wahlberg, from last year, was my best American football film ever (and i watch ALL of them)

its kinda like Rocky for NFL (i.e. set in Philly in the 70s, heavy unemployment, etc) but its based on a true story.

Also The Rock had a decent one last year called Grindiron Gang.
And We Are Marshall looks ok

Comedy
1) The Replacements (Keanu Reeves & Gene Hackman stars)

2) Little Giants (starring Rick Moranis & Ed O'Neill) If you have kiRAB or if you're young at heart, then this is an enjoyable feature :)

3) North Dallas Forty (Starring Nick Nolte)

Drama
1) Invincible

2) Any Given Sunday

3) Rudy

Here's a list of more American Football movies.

American Football Films - 1975 - Present

And finally there's The Last Boy Scout . While it's doesn't really focus on the game, American Football still remains an integral part of the story. I know...I know... I'm really stretching things with this last title. :D

Remember The Titans

It's about the football team at a Georgia college after the two segregated schools became one in the '70's. It's about the racial prejusices in the team at first they hate each other (blacks and whites) but when they go on a training camp they become frienRAB and that's about all I can remember (I've only seen it once and that was a while ago) but I do remember enjoying it.

It stars Densel Washington and Randy from 'My name is Earl'
