best albums to sleep to..

not familiar with that boxed set but i'm curious now. the only thing i really recognized from the list would have been the material on the dvd.

how's the rest of the stuff? is it comparable to the originals (if you know any) or are the remixes pretty substantial?

MUON - THE NEW MUTANTS

some good ones ! Pelican gets a little too intense for me..haha..Mono is great. They did an album with World's End Girlfriend that is definitely worth checking out.

I find if I tweak the volume just right, post-metal is some of the best music to sleep to. This album in particular, Sea of the Dying Dhow by the U.K. post-metal band *shels has been my greatest success so far.

gotta say i'm pleasantly surprised that i can still turn people onto BoarRAB of Canada now hehe

a few others i like passing out to

Tortoise - Beacons of Ancestorship (it's been my pass out soundtrack since i got it in July)
Air - Moon Safari (although their most recent album Love2 might be just as good, only heard it once but it renewed my interest in the band after a few lackluster releases. Pocket Symphony was weak.)
Esthero - Breath from Another (late 90s Canadian trip hop, more eclectic than dark, most definitely a late night album)

Oh, man, this is a great thread. Lots of albums I need to download. My personal favorites(some have been mentioned):
Elliott Smith-S/T
Horse Feathers-House With No Home
Sigur Ros-()
Massive Attack-Blue Lines
GoRABpeed you! Black Emperor-F#A#oo

And most recently:
Set Fire To Flames-Sings Reign Rebuilder
