An acoustic over white noise and barely audible vocals make for some great sleepytime dreamyness.

Is it good? I'm a big Four Tet fan, and Burial's s/t was great, though that's the only Burial I've heard. I could swear I had something else on my external drive, but it doesn't appear to be there. I'm debating going on a hunt to track it down, but not if it isn't worth my time.

i followed your orders mr dave. and i have to say WOW. how did i not know about these guys?

of course, this means i have to spend the evening accumulating their entire discography....

A few I've enjoyed while reading in bed/sleeping lately:

D'Arcangelo - Eksel

Bersarin Quartett - Bersarin Quartett

I've gotta go get that Tortoise cd. The last thing I bought by them was A Lazarus Taxon...really good stuff..Moon Safari is perfect chillin' music. I'll have to give Esthero a listen..

Do you like to listen to music while you sleep? I sometimes listen to some arabient or somewhat subdued rock to lull me asleep.. Sometimes a familiar album can help put you in a comfortable state and help you get some zzz's..any suggestions?

My Audio Lunesta

Labradford - A Stable Reference

Aphex Twin - Selected Arabient Works V.2

Cowboy Junkies - The Trinity Sessions

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless

Mazzy Star - So Tonight That I Might See

haven't really played WoW, but some video games have great orchestral

soundtracks. Morrowind was great...Chrono Trigger is the epitome of MIDI!

They should re-do all the music from chrono trigger with a live orchestra :)

I love listening to albums such as the Chillout Sessions by Ministry of Sound before I sleep. But my problem often is that I start getting my imagination going and I change to different types of songs with end up making me alert and completely unable to sleep. Infact, I have just done that, which is why I came online.

While I generally prefer instrumental stuff for sleeping, I just remerabered this one is nice to play, as it's very peaceful.

Grizzly Bear - Veckatimest

Ultre - The Nest and the Skull

Daturah - Daturah

Nosaj Thing - Drift

Keaver & Brause - The Middle Way

This could go on forever. Basically it just has to be instrumental, mostly mellow, and not have any explosions of sound that could startle me as I'm being lulled to sleep.

I love listening to music while I sleep. I make a playlist every night before I go to bed. It ranges and varies but here are a few favorites recently:

.Clint Mansell - Moon OST
.Pelican - The Fire in Our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw
.The Pink Floyd - Meddle
.Charles Mingus - The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady
.Bohren and der Club of Gore - Black Earth
.Earth - The Bees Made Honey in the Lion's Skull
.Mogwai - Mr. Beast
.Mono - Hymn to The Immortal Wind

Ok, I could go on forever.

So cash. Got this one as a recommendation from my guitar teacher months ago and loved it. Shame Radiohead shamelessly stole the chord progression for All I Need from Roygbiv. Realized that a few weeks ago or so. Anyway it's great stuff. Really chill electronica with some heavier moments like the aformentioned song.
