Best 3rd Party Phones that work on Verizon Prepaid?

Hi all, I'm looking for either the best say -+$50 phone, or maybe up to -+$100 phone, if that really makes a difference, that's CDMA and will work on Verizon's Prepaid network. A Verizon tech told me that certain models will work fine... but did not have a list of them. Since Verizon's offerings are so limited, I thought I'd inquire what other's have found that work on the VZW Prepaid network? Phone call and sound quality important, must have good speaker phone, other than that I'm not too fussy, though would like to get the best quality and bang for the buck!

I don't believe that Verizon will activate a non Verizon branded phone, especially onto their prepay services. Your best bet is to talk to customer service about it before purchasing, so that you don't accidentally purchase something that ends up being a paper weight for you.
 
Two different Verizon tech support people said they do, but they'd have to check the ASN? or something like that, number. I'm just seeing if anyone knows which 3rd party phones do work? thanks, Lewis.
 
The ESN? I am pretty sure that you will still need a Verizon branded phone to activate it as a prepaid phone.
