Besides the 7 "deadly" sins and not following the 10 commandments, what other things...

...are considered si? You can't possibly tell me that there are only 17 sins, sure enough there have to be more than 17 things that can keep you from entering the "pearly gates" so what other things/actions are considered sins?
Crap, "sins" at the end of the subject question. I think I may have run out of characters.

Definition of sin

James 4:17 (New International Version)
17Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins

And you can not enter the pearly gates by avoiding sin since that is impossible

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

If you weren't ignorant you'd work out your morals for yourself, instead of following the immorality of religion.

Everything you say and everything you do is a "sin". That is why even those who are saved by Christ, are still "sinners". We are born with it - nothing takes it away until we die.

From the Book of Exodus to the end of Leviticus are all of the laws. Read through these two books and you will get all of the laws that God has given man.

The problem with the ten commandments is that nine out of the ten tell you what not to do. If you look at Jesus' teachings they basically tell you how to live. Love your enemies, don't lay up your treasure on earth lay them up in heaven and place your confidence in God not materialism; people don't die because the world lacks resources, they die because people hoard them and keep others from having access to them. Jesus understood that people needed to know how to exist properly and thus his teachings continually told people how to do just that. You want to make heaven? Learn to care for people as though they were you. Don't judge them for their ignorance, but rather understand that you are ignorant also and in need of growth. Have compassion towards them and be committed to living perfectly: at all cost. Jesus stated that those who hunger and thirst after righteousness will be filled with it. Don't buy into the garbage that most people are selling about Christianity: trust Jesus' words and interpretation alone on the matter.

In the Old Testament, the 10 commandments were given to Moses at Mt Sinai that spelled out the essence of what it meant to follow God. Failure to follow the commandments was considered sin (e.g. Love God, honour your parents, do not murder etc). This was expanded on considerably in what is known as the ‘Law’ in the books of Leviticus & Deuteronomy. These were very detailed and included laws about sexual immorality, worshipping foreign gods and caring for the poor.

‘The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.’ (Galatians 5:19-21)
