...unethical invesment bankers ever? 1. who is he and why has he been making news recently?

2. What is a Ponzi scheme and how has Madoff made use of it?

3. What was the outcome o the trial and do you fel that it is enough punishment?

4. how much in assets has law enforcement recovered to date?

5. do you think the assets of his wife and other family members should be considered in the recovery why or why not?

6. what has hapened to his victims as a result of Madoff's actions?

7. what can we put in place in the future to ensure that this kind of behaivor doesn't not happen again?
 
I don't know all of those, I think there will be indictments, possibly of his wife and others who gained from his crimes. I don't know how to explain a Ponzi scheme, other than if you invested in it to make money, you would not, you'd lose your money.

Most of his victims will never get a cent. Most of it is gone, and what there is will have to be divided by the courts maybe thousands of ways. That's why I think his property should be confiscated even if it is in his wife's name. It is community property, it's not like they were just living together or something.

Nothing other than the fact he is going to jail for like 150 years and he is 70 will deter other people.(I don't think he has any possibility of parole, or if he does, it's in like 75 or 100 years)

The crooks are out there and if they get a chance, somebody will try something. But making sure he can never get out and making sure anybody else who tries similar things is sent away for life, might be a deterrent.
