Berenstain Bears is Getting a Movie. Guess What Kind of Movie?

Ugh. I loved those books as a child!! What's up with adaptations of cartoons/books lately. :shrug:

I'd rather see a "Kevin & Kell" movie to be honest. Yeah, I know it's a webcomic and not a book series, but their concept of an "anthropomorphic animal family trying to get by" is a much better fit for the big screen IMO.

Sheesh, it's just the Berenstein Bears. No big deal. It'll get released, receive poor reviews while make tons of money, and be forgotten. Then we can find something else to complain about. :anime:

Yeah, well, you happen to be talking to someone who loved and cherished those books as a child, and who will be devastated to see one of his favorite childhood books get this treatment. I'm sure you have something you wouldn't want to see get this.

They're already making a new Looney Tunes show and a CGI T&J movie. And I've been able to accept that sort of thing just as one such as you should. It's just a Berenstain Bears movie. There are real injustices going on in the world. :flapjack:

Seriously, this seems to have all the makings of a cinema "quickie" (quickly gone and forgotten). Nothing worth making a big deal out of. Besides, Stan Berenstain is no longer with us. The franchise will never be the way that it was anymore anyway.
