benefits of unlocking

I have a i710. Can someone let me know what the benifits are of unlocking it? Also is there a way you can access your email without having to pay the 10 bucks Nextel wants to charge?

hey i have a program for nextel that let you see your email for your nextel phone. if you need more info just email or just go to my site and leave a post.

you will see no benifits of unlocking your nextel i710. unlocking is just used for taking a boost phone and being able to use it on nextel service.
