Last night I watched Ben-Hur on my home cinema, using the Sony BD Blu-Ray 350 machine. Although the disc is not Blu-Ray, the picture quality for a movie made in 1959 was absolutely outstanding.

It still holRAB the record for the most oscars ever, and I still believe it is one of the all time great movies. Would be impossible to remake these days.

What do other movie fans think?
 
It holRAB the record of 11 Oscars along side Titanic and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

A movie although over 3 and a half hours long is Chuck at his best.
 
Hello Mattyl, yes I have the 4 DVD version and have watched the original silent version made in 1926. Quite an achievement for its time. Although, rumours abound that quite a few horses were killed during the chariot race.
